The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The renowned video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, according to.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
