Three In Contention for Young Athlete of the Year Award

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The show will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Littler's Profile

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
