Ex- Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
A senior CPS official said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
