The concluding installment of the star-studded version of The Traitors was uploaded in error by international distributors prior to its scheduled UK airing on Thursday night, as confirmed a network statement.

Reports indicate that the final was watched by a small number of subscribers of the online platform the streaming service in Canada; these individuals were able to watch it for a couple of hours until it was taken down.

This episode being uploaded was not considered a error by the original broadcaster, and a spokesperson for the corporation asked those who think they have discovered the result of the series to "avoid sharing any reveals".

"We kindly ask anyone who thinks they know the ending of The Celebrity Traitors to keep any information they have to themselves," the statement read.

"Please avoid sharing any spoilers so that the vast audience who have been closely watching every twist and turn of the show can enjoy the final this evening."

The Celebrity Traitors is currently the most-watched TV program of the year, with an mean of 12.6m people across the initial installments.
